Michele Carey, born Michele Lee Henson was the son of Stanley Willard Henson, Jr who was a physician in America, and Thelma B. Burnell Henson. Michele Carey, or Michele Lee Henson, was first born February 26, 1942, in Annapolis, Maryland, United States of America. She had a prodigious piano playing in her teens and was the winner of the national competition at Chicago Music Festival at just thirteen years old. She settled in Fort Collins, Colorado with her family, and completed her high school education at Fort Collins High School where she was graduated in the year 1960.
